Tales of Tel'Palurin
The Shroud is a pale mirror of Tel’Palurin, a thin sheet of tissue that both inhabits the space of the plane and exists beyond it. It is in this plane that the ethereal beings (ghosts, spirits and spectres) exist. It is a simple fact of the Shroud that those within the plane experience both the events and artifacts of the ethereal, and those of the material. It is this quality that makes the ethereal plane so crucial to divination: the ethereal mirrors the world, but also exists within it, around it, and through it at every point in time that has ever been or shall ever be. This tumult of events is also what tends to drive spirits and ghosts mad as they attempt to reconcile the flood of information into something they are capable of understanding. Spirits caught within thd Shroud are quickly driven insane until they have gained enough experience to learn how to see everything and nothing all at once. The majority of spirits barely touch the Shroud as they pass through it, called by Felar-Dum’s embrace to the Garden of Souls.
